About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with proven expertise in the Transport industry within the New Zealand market. This role is pivotal in driving new business growth, maintaining key customer relationships, and achieving sales and revenue targets. You will manage a portfolio of major accounts while actively identifying and developing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business, sales, and marketing plans to achieve growth objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to expand market share and identify new revenue streams.
  • Target, prospect, and manage key accounts, ensuring strong customer relationships.
  • Drive the sales process and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with performance targets.
  • Implement and improve account management strategies and pricing policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer engagement using CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver coordinated marketing and sales strategies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development within the Transport industry in New Zealand.
  • Strong track record in achieving sales and revenue targets in a medium to large organisation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and develop innovative solutions.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP or Salesforce is desirable.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel across New Zealand.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Diploma-level qualification in management or a related field.
  • Experience managing a team and exposure to the automotive sector is advantageous.
